Where was I a year ago, and where am I today?

A year ago I was in Arizona. Today, I am almost a month a way from getting married, juggling report cards, packing my life up and preparing for interviews. Where would I rather be? You guessed it, Scottsdale, Arizona. When in rains it pours...this could be a metaphor for my tears as well. They come and go...happy tears, sad tears, stressed tears, memory tears, future tears, etc. Lorissa and I leave for MT this Thursday, I will be staying in MT with Mike until the 6th of July. Let's make it an effort to hang out as much as possible before August 4th. I'm stopping here as I am on my planning period and fighting a frog in my throat. Back to work!!

Great laughs with a few of my favorite gals....

This weekend some of the gals and I went on a little road trip. It all started when I made my appointment with the Alderbrook to do my hair and makeup "run through" for the wedding. I asked the gals if they wanted to stay the night at the Alderbrook and then road trip it up to Port Angeles and do a little wine tasting at the Working Girl Winery. I was delighted they sais "yes!"When we got to our room on Friday night we were all surprised and excited by a bottle of red wine Kimberly had ready for us in the room. It was yummy and we wished she could have been there to join us. Thanks again Kimberly!

Enjoying the sunset, waterfront and wine at the Alderbrook.

As were were enjoying our wine I called Mike. While chatting with him I decided to look through a little patch of clovers, only to find a four leaf clover!! I mean what luck! Annie has better shots of it so I'll share those when she sends them my way.
The next day we made it to Port Angeles and Olympic Cellars; Home of the Working Girl Winery. We were all enjoying a glass of wine, some yummy cheeses and a beautiful view of the Olympics.
The view we were enjoying... A shot of the makeup run through. I'm happy with it but I am going to have the gal go a little darker on the eye makeup.

We found a little wine bar and of course enjoyed a few glasses.

Later that night...I know we're dorks.

And even later that night!
Thanks for a fun weekend full of laughs gals!

A few of my favorite moments at 6th Grade camp

The Ork dance.A few of the high school counselors showing their moves.
Below is a few of my girls gettin' their groove on.
Teachers getting ready for the Ork dance.
The wildlife...

Tucking the girls in for a good night sleep.
Awe, need I say more.

Free recreation time for the kids, two of my boys being silly.
"I'm in a boat, I'm in a boat, I'm in a ##$$!* boat!"
Learning about pond life.
Eric Martin loving my "big" sunglasses.
The ferry ride to Orkas Island, Camp Orkilla.
What a great week is was and what a great job I have.

For Tanya and Billy

Tanya and Billy I thought I would share a picture of Mike's parents boxers; Java on the left and Bailey on the right. They truly are the greatest dogs and one of the best breeds with children. I can't wait till we get "Roxanne," we'll call her "Roxy the Boxy!"

DJ and His Deployment to Afghanistan

I met DJ Becker about 6 years ago at the Owl and Thistle, actually the same night I met Mike. DJ is a great friend of Mike's and has become a great friend of mine. He is a part of our wedding party but unfortunatly won't be able to attend the wedding due to his deployment to Afghanistan. I get choked up thinking about one, him being deployed, two his committment to our country and three how much we are going to miss him while he is gone. Our wedding won't be the same without him. In this picture is his lovely and beautiful wife Isabella who is greatly missing him already. Please keep them both in your thoughts and prayers as his journey begins. Feel free to follow DJ's Blog as his journaling of the experience is really cool. He is currently in training before he deploys to Afgganistan. We love you DJ! Godspeed.

Broken Camera...

Well, my camera had an accident over the holidays and I thought it was okay until I recently noticed if it's not super light wherever the picture is being taken it comes out dark. :( So sad...the accident with the camera was completly my fault and now I have to find some pot of gold to get a new one. I have already missed a few blog opportunites due to my broken camera. There are so many exciting things happening that I WILL need a camera to capture the moments.

Anybody know of a good camera that is priced rather cheap?

Well, once I find that pot of gold I will have more to blog about. Until then I will rely on all of your fun posts.

My Best Friend's Wedding....

Here's where it all began! As I am sitting here trying to work I can't help but be honest and say I'm thinking more about Kimberly and her special day! I can't wait for tomorrow and the next day...this has been 20 years in the making. She's just been waiting patiently for the right guy. And for those of you who have known Kimberly well, you know she's been planning this for a very long time. Things have changed here and there but she's always had the ideas constantly working in her head. Can't wait!!
