A Blog to Friendship

Us gals decided to hang up our lives for a few days and take some time for friends in the sun. We were pros at it. We spent three solid days in Scottsdale, Arizona swimming, lounging, laughing, drinking, sleeping, watching pregnant bellies grow, eating, dancing, riding electric bulls and making lasting memories. And so this Blog is dedicated to my gals and the crew of gals that couldn't join us (we missed you greatly).

A quote by Kermit the Frog: "Yeah well, I've got a dream too. But it's about singing and dancing and making people happy. That's the kind of dream that gets better the more people you share it with. And, well, I've found a whole bunch of friends who have the same dream. And it kind of makes us like a family."

Lastly, I chose a few quotes to go along with the pictures from the book 1,003 Great Things About Friends

Make new friends but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold.

Friends just, you know, get it.

Everyone comes from a dysfunctional family.

Likes to swim in the same temperature water as you.Cheers my lovely ladies!

My Cousin Bobby Moro got Married!

My cousin Bobby, who I grew up with tied the knot in Sun River this past weekend. It was a georgous wedding and wonderful weather. We had such a great time, we wished we could have stayed longer. I would recommend to anybody going and spending a few days there...sweet bliss! So happy!
Bobby with his new bride, and Moro addition.
It was so much fun being with my family in Sun River, my dad wants to make it an annual trip.
Stephen and his lady, Michelle.
The speeches... my cousin Bob wasn't sure if it was well wishes or a roast. It was pretty funny. You might also notice the bride changed her dress for the reception.
My Aunt Candi and Uncle Walter. My Mom and Dad being silly.

My Favorite Hero is Home!

After 14 long months Val is home from Iraq. He arrived this morning at 12am and was greeted by his wife (Lauren) and my dad. He will be working on his Masters degree (at the U...Boo!) for the next two years, there is no chance he will go back to Iraq during this time. Shew!!
Thank you for your hard work Val, thank you for being brave and protecting many. You are a hero in my eyes and I love you and am VERY happy to have you home.

Sex and the City

Lorissa and I went to watch Sex and the City last night, we both really enjoyed it! It felt good to be out with a good friend watching a fun "chick" flick. Like the episodes we both were able to relate to some of the situations and giggle/cry at many more. Brilliant!

Wine and Walla Walla

We all had such a great time wine tasting. We headed to Walla Walla and hit about 5 wineries, by the second to last one our taste buds needed a break. So we decided to hit a cute little cheese store for a snack, oh was it good! This particular picture was taken in a renovated bar in Pendleton. The name of the bar is Hamleys and it has been in "P" town since 1883, if you've never been in a western bar this is truly the place to go. I loved the look of this winery, good wines too. However, they had a caged black widow! Yuck! Chester (the cat) and I devised a plan! Our plan was to have Mike wrap Chester around his little finger and sure enough the mission was complete. In fact Chester went over and beyond his call of duty. As you see he is placed very comfortably on Mike's sholder where he remained from about 4am to 8am. He would stretch his paw out once in a while and put it on Mike's face...it was too cute! Let's just say Mike has opened up much more to the idea of cats. He said, "I wouldn't mind a cat as long it's cool, Chester is cool." Unfotunatly it was only a one night stand, Chester spent the night else where on Saturday. None the less, kitty cat world here we come!
