First Steps at 13 Months and 2 Days!

Okay, SO what if Mike and I are struggling to make ends meet.  What am I really going to remember when I look back on this time? Getting to watch my baby boy take his first steps!  On October 4th I was sitting in Andrew's room and I put him down after putting his pants on and he took off on his own!  Priceless, simply priceless.  I'm blessed that I got to be here with him, even if we are lacking in funds.

I have a great video of him practicing but for some reason it copied side ways on to the computer so I'm gonna have to have my tech guy (Mike) see if he can flip it.  If not and you're on Facebook, check it out there on my page.  It's pretty funny if you ask me.

Here are some pictures of what we've been up to in month 13:
One of our most recent trips to the park!  The seasons have changed and so has the clothing.

Uncle Stephen was very concerned about the fact that every time I sent him a picture of Drew he was wearing Griz gear.  SO, we quickly found a jersery and was sure to put him in Crimson and Grey! Very handsome Coug if you ask me!

A Fall walk.

Maybe a clown for Halloween?  Nah, he's gonna be a tiger.  But, a clown would be very fitting too!

A little tiger for Halloween.  I decided to post this picture because it might be the best one we'll have of him.  He wasn't too sure of the costume thing.

Lord of the Flies! Don't worry, it's clean.  And, whenever I would kill a fly I would say "hi-ya!" Pretty soon Drew was saying it too!

Practicing walking with support.

Just another day home with mommy!

Daddy and Drew going down the slide.

We LOVE going to the park!  We go as much as we can and boy does Drew love it!  I don't blame him.
Just a cute pic of Drew in a t-shirt Aunt D, Uncle Poops and Peyton sent him!
Just thought this was cute.  And, yes, our cats eat on the table due to a little boy who likes to eat cat food.  Don't worry, if you ever come over for dinner we ALWAYS move the food and change the table cloth.

DJ, Isabella, Rowan and Finley were in town visiting DJ's parents.  It was so nice seeing familiar faces!

It's been a great month and so many new things happen everyday.  Once again, I can't believe how fast time flies!

1 year, may you always be forever young sweet boy!

"Forever Young" -Bob Dillon

May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
And may your song always be sung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.

Andrew, mommy has always loved this song and since I've had you in my life it strikes me even more.  Drew, together, lets stay "Forever Young!"  I love you 1 year old!

And now on to what you are up to at 12 months!  You continue to talk, a lot.  You love playing chase with daddy and mommy.  You've got molars coming in by the minute and two colds to boot!  Your friends and family took good care of you in celebrating your first birthday, it looks like Toys R Us in the house, thank you so much everyone!  Wagon rides and drumming are two favorites of yours...and dads too.  To add insult to injury you not only continue to dislike diaper changes but now you've decided to start reaching down and grabbing the poop!  I sure hope you potty train like a champ, daddy and mommy need some sort of break.  Your curls are starting to take on a life of their own, in fact, a hair cut might be in order soon.  You are totally on whole milk now and down to just a bed time bottle.  Dr. Sorenson says we need to be done with bottle by 15 months, boy am I going to miss that snuggle time with you. You weight 20 lbs and your height is 29 inches! You love brushing your teeth, being outside, chasing Norman, beating Harper, smiling at anybody, playing with technology, banging on things (thanks daddy), having books read to you, playing with other little baby friends, having visitors, you throw balls and dad looks like a kid in a candy store dreaming of your future, fruit is always the favorite food and you continue to think about walking but are content to crawl!  This year has been the best year of our lives, there are no words to describe the joy you bring us daily.  We love you sweet boy...so so so much!

11 months!! Eeek where has the time gone?

I can't beleive we almost have a 1 year old.  Drew is doing SO much these days it's hard to take in how fast he has grown in the past 11 months.  I have to say I've been feeling a little bit of a "newborn" itch.  Mike said," hang tight, give it some time!"  :)  Okay, but maybe spring??  ;)

Okay, I'm gonna go head to toe on what's happening with our babe.  Drew, you have the prettiest hair I've ever seen, your curls are to die for!  Your eyes are crystal blue and I love looking at them daily.  You have 8 front teeth two top molars and two bottom RED bumps where molars are forming.  You say words and sounds and here are a few; "mama, dada, quack quack, gat (cat)" and you mimic noises like daddy makes. You are about 20+ lbs and growing like a weed! Crawling is fun but you love standing and walking around things with support.  In fact, last night you were holding Aunt Kendra's hand (just one hand) and walking with her. It's only a matter of time before you take off!  You wave goodbye and love throwing your diapers away too.  You still give mommy and daddy fits when changing your diaper but we love the new "huggies" pull ons for "active" babies!  You love throwing balls and playing in your crib.  My heart melts when I watch you on the monitor rolling around or doing the yoga downward dog while talking to your Jellycat monkey and kitty.  You're sleeping a pretty solid 10 hours and so happy when you wake up, it makes getting up to see you so exciting!  Don't get me wrong through, you have thrown a few fits here and there and daddy and I look at each other with horror affraid that this might carry on through life.  Eeek!  But those are few and far between and you are mostly a lover.  You love Harper and Harper loves you, he tolerates you wanting to pet him, real hard. Norman runs from you but I love your determination in trying to win him over.  You eat and love everything!!!  However, you're just getting over a nastly cold (or severe teething symptoms) and have enjoyed looking me right in the eye and throwing food on the floor.  Dear me!  You've become a very independent little babe and love exploring everywhere.  We love watching you explore everywhere!  You make squeeking noises whenever we take you outside, it sheer excitement from deep down inside.  Oh boy I hope I've covered who you are head to toe at 11 months.  In 4 short days you will be a 1 year old.  I can't believe how much you've changed my life for the better!  You make me want to be a better person and teach you how to become a decent member of society.  We love you Drewbie, Drewzie, Drewbiedobedo, Tinkey Toots, Little Man, Honey Honey Honey, Andrew Manning Yasenak!!

10 months and "SO Big!"

Oh it's so great having my computer back and running.  However, I'm a little overwhelmed by how much Andrew has been growing and affraid I might not remember all that has happened!  We headed home to WA a few days before he turned 10 months and while he struggled with sleep (and so did I) our trip overall was a blast! It was so much fun watching him interact in his new enviroment.  He loved having his Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt, uncles and friends dode after him.  He'd been responding to "SO BIG" before but really enjoyed showing people what he could do.  During lunch Grandma would put on the Beach Boys and he loved dancing.  Lorissa and I took him down to the Kirkland waterfront and he enjoyed eating a peach and taking in the scenery.  We stayed a few nights with Kimberly and Abby and boy did Drew get back to Grandma and Grandpas thinking he was big stuff.  It was crazy watching him interact with Abby (whose 10 months older than Drew) because he wanted to be doing everything she was doing.  Coloring, playing in the playpen, playing with make up brushes...he even really started making the "mama" word clearer and intentional.  Mama, was his first word but soon after he was working on dada.  We are SO thrilled by Andrew everyday and have so much fun watching him grow and develop into a little person.

Stay tuned for what's been going on in 11 months!!
